Following the certification of the French Tech Hub Dubai - UAE by the French government in October 2016, the "French Tech Dubai UAE Award" is an excellent opportunity to highlight the vitality of the ecosystem and the French tech, digital and entrepreneurial community of Dubai.
This initiative, organized in collaboration with KPMG, contributes to our mission of facilitating the French business community in the United Arab Emirates and developing the visibility of our member companies.

19 March 2017 l Pitch to the jury
Finalist start-ups candidates will have the opportunity to pitch to a jury of professionals (entrepreneurs, consultants, investors, representatives of local authorities ...). Each member of the jury carries out an in-depth evaluation of each application according to predefined and common criteria.

31 March 2017 l Results of the jury
All candidate start-ups are contacted by the FBC in order to be informed of the results.

20 April 2017 l Award ceremony and broadcast of the video of the 3 nominees
More than 1,000 guests will attend the FBC Gala Dinner and the award ceremony: representatives of member companies with their clients, local partners, representatives of the French authorities (French Embassy, ​​French Consulate General) and a panel of journalists!

 

Eligibility criteria
To enter the competition and before filling-up the below online form, the start-up must comply with the following criteria:

  •  Be a start-up registered on the  "Pépites Tech" website - and attached to the French Tech Dubai-UAE Hub http://lespepitestech.com/french-tech-hub/duba-uae with at least one French member (founder, legal representative or member of the management) & an innovative service already launched on Dubai
  • Be a start-up with a trade license (mainland or Free Zone) valid in the UAE or have a partner based in the UAE (not being a subsidiary of a French multinational)
  • Be a start-up created after 1st January 2011 in the UAE.
  • Excluding consulting, development or communication agencies ...
  • Please send to events@fbcdubai.com: Cumulative investments since the creation of your start-up: Financial investments (R & D, prototype, etc.) and human (contribution from founders, partners, investors, advisers, freelancers, Developers, etc.)
  • If available, please submit (.pdf format) your financial results for the years 2015 and 2016 (they will remain confidential and for the use of the jury). They will have to resume:
    • Share of equity capital in 2015 and 2016 and rate of growth in shareholders' equity
    • Turnover in 2015 and 2016 and turnover growth rate
    • Number of full-time equivalent employees at the end of the last accounting year 2015 and 2016

The Dubai UAE hub shows the remarkable dynamism of the Tech ecosystem in Dubai, driven by a new generation of entrepreneurs, investors, engineers, designers, and other talented people.
