Julien GESTE:Project Manager Committed to Hydrogen Mobility and Energy Innovation

Julien Geste is an experienced project manager specializing in hydrogen mobility. With a background in engineering, he has spent the last 15 years at the EDF Group, focusing on various aspects of energy innovation and sustainability.

Driven by a commitment to sustainability, Julien recently joined Hynamics, an EDF subsidiary dedicated to advancing low-carbon and renewable hydrogen solutions for industry and heavy-duty mobility. He firmly believes that hydrogen will play a crucial role in future mobility and industrial applications, emphasizing the need for robust infrastructure to support its adoption.

Currently, Julien is overseeing the Belfort project, which aims to supply the city's buses with hydrogen fuel. This initiative is a significant step towards reducing carbon emissions in the transport sector. Moreover, beyond fueling buses, the Belfort station will lay the groundwork for a regional ecosystem by also providing green hydrogen to local industries that may require it, thus fostering sustainability across various sectors.

Julien's career at EDF has been diverse. He initially worked on safety system design for EPR reactors, ensuring the reliability of nuclear facilities. Later, he transitioned to a startup within EDF, where he focused on developing consumer-oriented energy solutions, particularly in optimizing heating systems using smart technology.

As Julien continues to advocate for decarbonization within EDF, his focus remains on leveraging hydrogen as a sustainable energy source for transportation.
