The year end is a good time to reflect on the achievements of the past
and to assess future development opportunities.
As I take over the position of Director, I would like to thank the
Executive Committee and our President for their vote of confidence
and pledged support, as well as France Crespin, for all the
experience she shared with me in the last 10 months. Her exceptional
communication skills and professional acumen will be missed by us
all here. I wish France all the best in her future endeavours.
Ahead of us lies an ambitious year 2006, with numerous networking,
information and promotion opportunities for you, and expansion
projects for the FBC to further strengthen the French presence in
the region.
The dynamism of our business Community is the result of your support
and commitment throughout the years, and will continue to grow
thanks to your active participation in the network, your remarks,
shared expectations and your critics. The FBC permanent team is at
your service to answer any query you may have.
Finally, I take this opportunity to wish you and your families a
happy festive season!

2005 Activities
Scrapbook
In short, with more
than 30 activities organised throughout the year 2005, the FBC has
demonstrated the dynamism of the French Business community in Dubai
and the Northern Emirates in different ways.
In 2005, the FBC has increased its service value towards members by
covering a wider range of subjects such as numerous legal seminars
and employment workshops, but also by developing a program of
conferences including the new formula“regional outlook” to fully
meet Members expectations.
Promoting the image
of the French business community in the UAE has also remained a main
objective for the FBC this year. Within this frame, the symposium
“French expertise in large projects” has been a great success. Along
this, the FBC has also welcomed several delegations from France and
organized site visits, meetings, luncheons and dinners to boost
contacts and relationships with its members and UAE Authorities.
Finally, the FBC Annual Gala dinner, the Marhaba Cocktail, the
Sohour Dinner as well as the traditional monthly Get Together have
been also great opportunities for all to increase a business network
in a convivial atmosphere.
The FBC team
takes the opportunity of this asset to thank all its Members, guest
speakers and all contributors for their support.
