The festive season is over and we are pleased to see you all getting back to business.
2004 has seen The French Business Council growing at a faster rate and 2005 will be a year of changes in order to fulfill the development of your expectations.
We will concentrate on small businesses representing 25% of our members with a 61% increase over last year. They will get a tribune to present their activity prior to the seminaries and conferences that we organize.
Furthermore, our monthly get together will be set up in a new décor. Be prepared for a stylish and tasteful venue.

Finally, 2004 has ended with the disaster of South East Asia and we are still under the shock of the images of this tragedy.
The international mobilization reaches an unpreceded scale and the efforts need to be maintaining high up.
The French Business Council invites you to join the initiative of the IFCCI (Indonesian-French Chamber of Commerce and Industry), for the reconstruction of one village. Our traditional Epiphany Get Together will be the occasion to contribute to this project (see attached invitation).
Your contribution is highly appreciated and we hope to see many of you on Tuesday.

It’s time now to wish all of you, together with your families and relatives, a fabulous year 2005, healthy, successful and happy!

France Crespin-Van Duinen, Director

On 29 November 2004 took place the annual general assembly of UCCIFE at the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry, attended by 120 directors of French Chambers of Commerce and Industry Abroad (CCIFE). This annual meeting was followed by a special convention with 55 International Advisors of French CCI. During a whole day, these individual technical discussions, organized with the financial support of ACFCI, allowed the exchange of information for an improved planning of local actions.
Mrs France Crespin-van Duinen attended these meetings with the clear mission to communicate about the opportunities offered by Dubai and Northern Emirates but also to explain the difficulties to launch and develop an activity in this highly competitive market. The following day Mrs Crespin was invited by the CCI Paris to meet with 12 local companies with international development projects towards Dubai.

EVENTS Committee

Our monthly Get Together will be a special event this month. The meeting place is at The Jumeirah Beach Hotel, around 7:00 PM. We will celebrate the Epiphany all together, and you are kindly invited to bring along friends, colleagues and partners. However, this festive event will not be appropriate without a special though to the victims of the Tsunami in South East Asia.

The French Business Council has decided to support the initiative of the Indonesian French Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IFCCI) for the reconstruction of a village in Sumatra, specially by building schools and public medical centres. This project will be yours and we will provide you with information so that you will be able to follow the progress of the construction.
It is supported by ACFCI, the Assembly of French Chambers of Commerce and Industry.

Therefore this venue will not be free of charge, and we kindly ask you a contribution of AED 150, including a glass of cider, soft drinks and epiphany cake*. AED 98 per participant will be sent to IFCCI. Your contribution is precious and we hope to see many of you on Tuesday.

*An open bar will be available with a special 20% discount for those who wish to order additional alcoholic drinks.
