THE FBC Gala Dinner – 25th May 2005

The magnificent Johara Ballroom at Madinat Jumeirah was the perfect setting for the elegant Gala evening of the French Business Council of Dubai and the Northern Emirates.
320 FBC members and VIP guests were treated to a four course gourmet dinner, and to a dazzling light and juggling show, called Feeding the Fish.

The artists, especially flown in from Paris for the evening, delighted the audience with a choregraphy of colours, seeming to draw the night with light. In this spectacular enchantment, the light intensity of the objects and the stroboscopic effect vary at every moment emitting a spectrum of colors perfectly synchronized with the acoustic play. The eye of the spectator is captivated at the same time by the traces of light and the remarkable dexterity of the artists.

The evening was also a special occasion, as H.E. Francois Gouyette, the French Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates awarded a high distinction- la Medaille de l’ordre du Merite- grade officier- to Obaid al Tayer, President of the DCCI on behalf of French President Jacques Chirac.

The prominent sponsors of the evening: Damas, Tanagra, L’artisan Parfumeur, Delisse chocolates, Air France, Softiel, Grand Hyatt, Moet et Chandon, Frank Provost and his artist hairdresser Abraham Ludik added to the prestige and elegance of the evening.

The glamorous hosts then took to the dance floor, and the party went on until the early hours of the morning, for a night to remember.
