To meet high and higher expectations from
Members of our fast-growing Council, FBC has decided to set up
committees by activity sector.
Dubai has embraced an astonishing development
programme. A large number of construction and infrastructure
projects have been launched, ranging from airport expansion to a
brand new mass transit system. French companies are
participating or bidding to participate in all these projects.
FBC is proposing to gather Members working in these sectors
under a new Committee.
Objectives
The main objectives
of the Construction Committee are:

to establish an
information exchange + networking forum
exclusively devoted to professionals of this sector, and
-
to promote
together our experience and expertise.
Organisation
The Construction Committee will regroup FBC Members and
companies having their activity in the sector of
Construction, Infrastructure
and/or Oil & Gas. A
preliminary list of concerned members is attached herewith for
reference.
The Leader of the Committee is Mr.
Mohamed Ahmed-Yahia (Legrand).
Concrete actions
To be pragmatic, two axes of initiatives are
proposed:
Meeting to remain up-to-date with key
projects
Workshops
could be organised with government officials or key players to
provide Members with detailed updates on major projects. This is
also a networking opportunity to exchange experience and
insightful information with other Member fellows.
Promoting
together our expertise
There is no doubt that French companies can offer unrivalled
expertise and experience in all projects under development in
Dubai. Let’s show it through a common promotion initiative,
which could be a
2-day symposium “Large Projects: the French Expertise”,
targeting key decision-makers and advisors of these projects.
This Committee is aimed to encourage active
participation by Members. In other words, this is YOUR
networking forum. Therefore, all initiatives are to be built
up by Members of the Committee, with the support of the FBC
Team.
