THE ARABIAN QUEST - March 18, 2005

Under the patronage of His Excellency Eng. Sheikh Salem Bin Sultan Al Qassimi
Chairman of the RAK Civil Aviation Department

The Arabian Quest Challenge 2005 is the first ever mountain bike and trekking race in the region. This incredibly challenging race covers an ascent and descent of Jebel Bil Aysh (1921m altitude) from Wadi Al Bih in Ras Al Khaimah, (150m altitude), covering rocky and unmarked trails. Part of the race will be done on mountain bike and some will be covered on foot.

The concept is simple: teams of two leave the starting line and navigate through mandatory control points (Control 1, 2, etc…) to the summit and back to the finish line as quickly as they can.
