The trade mission, which is supported by oil giant Total’s IBV programme, was on tour in the UAE to explore business opportunities in the healthcare/wellness and medical sector..
The International Business Volunteers programme (IBV) was implemented by Total to encourage French small -medium companies to venture into foreign export markets. The programme which was launched four years ago for the UAE market has been a roaring success with over 40 SMEs from France benefiting from the scheme.

Philippe Desriac, Regional Director Total said: “ the scheme aims at promoting and fostering French-UAE economic relations by not only creating job opportunities but by also contributing to the domestic economy in a big way.We have already organised four successful trade missions in the UAE in the health, decoration, water and construction sectors, and will continue to do so with the assistance of the French Business Council.”

Total runs their initiative on a “no profit-no loss basis” and provides financing from $20,000 to $200,000 to eligible companies, who must prove that their plan will subsequently lead to future business development and the creation of long term employment within the UAE and France
