Message from the President
(November 23, 2006)
Dear members and business associates
I am very happy and proud to lead the FBC permanent team and the new
2006-2007 Executive Committee. Thanks to your active participation at
the last general assembly, a highly motivated and committed team was
elected. The FBC will undoubtedly benefit from their wide range of
experiences, competences, skills and personalities.
I would like to acknowledge the excellent work achieved in the past year
and thank the outgoing executive committee and especially Francois Dao,
who as President for the last three years, led the FBC development. The
FBC is now a recognized and respected network, serving the French
business community in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, as well as in
France.
Our ambition is to better meet the expectations , not only of our
Members, present and future, but also of the business community at
large, within the frame set up by our FBC convention.
I wish to keep you informed of our priority projects for the year 06/07
which has already started.
Our “key” project and challenge for the coming year is the “Presence”
project which aims at extending the range of business services offered
to the FBC Members as well as to the French companies and entrepreneurs,
especially the small and medium size companies, who wish to approach the
local market. The FBC premises is currently being extended (doubling of
the surface). New talents will be recruited to help deliver our “bouquet
“of services efficiently.
Beyond this key project, we would like to strengthen and enlarge our
relations with our partners, such as the French Trade Commission, other
European business councils, the UCCIFE, etc...
Another goal is to enhance our notoriety and develop our membership
base, possibly by approaching and meeting the expectations of the
growing number of young executives who are settling in the region.
To achieve our objectives, we need your suggestions and your expertise.
We are looking forward to welcoming you in our work Group which list is
attached to this letter.
