Abu Dhabi announced the Guggenheim Foundation will build their largest museum in the Emirate, as well as a Middle Eastern version of the Louvre, putting the city on the fast-track for becoming the culture capital of the region.

Abu Dhabi has announced it will host the 2009 Formula 1 Grand Prix - a huge achievement that will benefit the entire country as new tourists visit, experience the region, and often opt to stay on!

A busy month with major announcements such as the ones above, that have confirmed that the UAE will remain on the fast track in the years to come, and that business opportunities remain to be grasped for our business community.

A busy month also at the FBC with final touches to the Directory 2007, several business missions from France, the big exhibitions of Gulf Food and Woodshow with many French exhibitors coming to the UAE…
Well, an excellent activity to complement our monthly events. The last Get together on 6th February was a very successful networking evening in a cosy and welcoming venue, with many new faces.

I will very shortly give you detailed information on our big event of 2007, the FBC Gala Dinner, that will celebrate with a very special evening- and special entertainment- the 20th anniversary of the French Business Council of Dubai and the Northern Emirates.

I wish you an excellent month and would like to extend a warm welcome to all our new members.
