Ras Al Khaimah Free
Trade Zone celebrated registering its 400th client in December
as the interest continues to grow in one of the newest free
zones and fastest developing emirates in the UAE.
“We’re delighted
with our success over the past three years. This proves our hard
work is paying off. At the end of 2003 we were targeting
approximately 350 companies, but this has been way surpassed and
we’ve actually registered over 400 from over 30 different
countries. Our success has been outstanding,” said Oussama El
Omari, Project Director General,; RAK Free Trade Zone.
The Abu Dhabi and
Dubai French Business Groups visited with a delegation of
members. The mission included over 30 visitors from
multinational companies such as Electricité de France,
Peugeot, Total, Sogreah, Cegelec, Alcatel and Air France.
The group had also visited Shaikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qassimi,
Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah. The group was
also taken on a tour of the Free Zone’s Business and Industrial
Parks, the airport and Saqr Port.
