In 2017, Chalhoub Group introduced a new diversity and inclusion vision, mission, and the Board committed and signed a new Charter. The Group also signed the Women Empowerment Principles (WEP) in September 2017 to support gender equality in the workplace, marketplace and community and therefore, the Group will apply the major steps of the (WEP) principles to advance and empower women by establishing a high-level corporate leadership for gender equality.
Chalhoub Group promote inclusion of people with determination into the workplace, and have run four information sessions to raise awareness across the business and also launched a new recruitment campaign in the region. As well as being a global Group with people from over 100 countries, Chalhoub Group understand the importance of the national workforce and a dedicated Gulfanisation team creates specific programmes to attract, develop and retain the best regional young talent.
Chalhoub Group is also Member of United Nations Global Compact, meaning the Group is committed to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, which include: Gender equality and reduced inequality.
