Global law firm Gowling WLG has expanded its international Technology Law offering with the appointment of a new Technology Law team based in the United Arab Emirates.

Director and Head of Tech for the Middle East, Anthony Fielding and Senior Associate Alexandre Brazeau join the firm to strengthen the its international, sector-focused global Tech group presence in the Middle East. This is a strategic addition to Gowling WLG in Dubai, reflecting the ambitious push for connectivity and innovation in the region and rapid growth in the tech space as the UAE forges ahead with its National Innovation Strategy.

Anthony and Alexandre bring significant international experience working in the Middle East, Singapore, Canada, the UK and Australia. Advising on broad range of first to market technology projects, digital and telecoms matters globally, the pair have advised key players across a wide range of market sectors and services, including among others; FinTech and Blockchain; digital transformation; IT strategic sourcing and system integration transactions; and telecommunications advisory and regulatory advice.

The firm's 300-strong global Tech team offers a diverse and full range of solutions to help clients achieve their commercial objectives: raising capital; M&A activities; regulatory matters; offensive, defensive and monetisation strategies for IP, and more.
