Our client, a buying house specialized in the trading of non-strategic equipment and spare parts for industrial companies. In order to develop their business, they are looking for an export sales officer.

Job description

As a trading company operating on a highly competitive market our client need people having both excellent sales and negotiation competences.

Job assignment: To be in charge of a portfolio of customer accounts and aiming to achieve the targets given by the Sales Manager in terms of sales turnover and gross margin. The sales officer is the dedicated contact assigned to his clients. He should be able to create a trusty and long-term relationship with them as well as understanding their needs and organization. The sales officer should aim to provide his clients the best possible service and create added value while contributing to the company revenue.

On a daily basis, the mission will consist of (but not be limited to):

  • Identifying tender opportunities from our customers or prospects
  • Obtaining the best possible prices and lead time from vendors in relation to each tender
  • Preparing bid analysis and commercial offers in agreement with the management
  • Submitting and following-up commercial proposals
  • Closing deals with our customers
  • Finalizing negotiation with selected vendors
  • Providing necessary support to our admin & logistics department during expediting of purchase orders

Job requirements:

  • Very good communication skills and positive attitude
  • Business-oriented
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills
  • Well-organized, Dynamic, tenacious, autonomous, rigorous and pro-active
  • Excellent English level (speaking and writing)
  • French language is mandatory
  • Previous experience in Oil & Gas spare part procurement or spare part trading would be a plus but not mandatory
  • Degree in International Business / Supply Chain Management would be a plus but not mandatory
