2018-19RS048F - FP&A & Credit Controller

Its regional head office in Dubai for Middle East, Africa and Indian Subcontinent, has identified the need for a new position of FP&A & Credit Controller. This new position has been created to support the business primarily in forecasting, budgeting & planning; in variance analyses, financial modelling and management reporting; and in Credit Control/Accounts Receivable Management.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

In the function of FP&A:
•             Work with local management to build annual budgets and monthly forecasts
•             Analyze and report financial and operational results to better understand company performance
•             Assist in month-end reporting, commentary and Hyperion submissions (Actuals and Forecasts)
•             Help to design & implement effective tools for KPI reporting and for highlighting exceptions (e.g. margin performance, gross to net deductions etc.)
•             Assist in identifying, measuring and managing cost saving and process improvement initiatives
•             Work with the commercial/marketing teams to help optimize product mix, pricing strategies and margin control
•             Prepare scenario analyses/business models to support new investment and other business decisions

In the function of Credit Controller:
•             Prepare & issue reports detailing accounts receivable status
•             Help devise collection targets & actions and liaise with commercial team on progress
•             Identify, report and help to resolve disputes and unauthorized deductions in co-ordination with other functions (e.g. Customer Service, Operations, Marketing)
•             Facilitate payment of invoices by sending reminders and contacting customers directly

Competencies & Skills:

  • Educated to degree level or similar (preferably in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business/Management)
  • Professional Accountancy Qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CFA)
  • Strong numerical & analytical skills
  • Attention to detail, with ability to see the “bigger picture”
  • Highly motivated & enthusiastic
  • Strong interpersonal skills to liaise internally at various levels across many departments and externally with customers
  • Appreciation & understanding of cultural diversity
  • Fluent in English
  • Strong IT skills, including ERP (e.g. Sage, SAP) and MS Office (in particular Excel). Knowledge/exposure to Hyperion Planning an advantage
