2018-19RS061 - Human Resource Assistant

Our client is looking for its new Human Resources Assistant, she/he will work directly under the Human Resources Manager.

Purpose and Objective of Position:
The Human Resource Assistant provides professional HR administrative support to the department and operational support to the team.  To support and improve overall operating efficiency, the individual works under general guidance, and is able to prioritize, communicate and organize workloads and also takes responsibility for special projects as needed. The individual is resourceful, a good problem solver and organized, ensuring a steady completion of workload in a timely manner.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Involvement with the ‘go live’ of the HRIS
• Maintain accurate and up to date human resource files, records and documentation
• Provides clerical support to the department
• Support with payroll functions, including processing, answering employee questions and fixing processing errors 
• Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records
• Overseeing the maintenance of the office and all contained misc. equipment (copier / coffee machine etc,)
• Assist with other misc. tasks as and when requested

Required Experience, Education and Skills:
• 5 + years if HR administrative support
• Associate degree in related field 
• Bilingual – French & English (both written and spoken)
• Proficiency in MS office (MS Excel and MS power point in particular)
• Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple work activities, while meeting deadlines
• Attention to details and problem-solving skills
• Discretion and confidentiality
