2020-21RS002 - Finance Manager

Overall Purpose of the Job:

As an integral and key member of our client’s company, the Finance Manager, will be responsible for the overall smooth functioning of Finance & Accounting for supply chain activities for GS (UEA).

•             Ensure timely and complete monthly and quarterly reporting and variance analysis.
•             Management of working capital including Cash, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Inventory turnover to ensure improvement of the key KPIs.
•             Support the management of tax, audit & banks.
•             Manage General & Administration expenditure to be in line with budgets and KPI, and compliance with General Affairs Policy and Procedures (GAPP) at all time.
•             Preparation of annual budget and forecasts within schedule.
•             Advise management on new projects and CAPEX investment
•             Working with the Management Team in support of the business growth

Specific Responsibilities Accounting:
•             Work and co-ordinate with the other members of the finance team to ensure the accuracy of the books & records and timeliness of the monthly closing.
•             Ensure accurate and timely financial information and reports for statutory and management purposes.
•             Assist in the coordination of statutory audit
•             Manage budget and forecast
•             Manage the accounting and finance of supply chain activities, including owning the month end balance sheet reconciliation process

Business Partnering:
•             Partner the management team to provide analysis for the local operations, including client/product line profitability analysis, business activities analysis etc – with establishment of relevant platform to facilitate the analysis as necessary from time to time.
•             Assist in financial modeling necessary for business development, including for example costing for new products, investment of new establishment, return on CAPEX investment etc.
•             Work closely with senior management to proactively forecast, manage and achieve both financial and non-financial business KPIs
•             Perform financial analysis / pricing models for Local and Group tenders

Financial Control Standard:
•             Ensure compliance to General Affairs Policy and Procedures (GAPP) for the company.
•             Ensure compliance of accounting/reporting treatment in line with Group requirements, including treatment for new products

Bank/Leasing:
•             Assist in the coordination of proper functioning of treasury and financing relationship
•             Manage the banking and financing relationships with existing or potential financial institutions

Working Capital management (working with the Finance team):
•             Cash: Ensure minimum cash holding per target set and maximization of available cash (i.e. minimization of receipt in transit).
•             Accounts Receivable: ensure compliance of Credit Policy and ensure timely collections based on credit limit & terms – with minimal bad debts.
•             Accounts Payable: Establish good credit terms with service providers, and manage the payments.
•             Working with the Group Working Capital team to ensure best practices
•             proactively manage Cash Flows to ensure smooth operations and delivery on cash conversion targets.
•             Responsible for the Working Capital targets (AR > 60 days, Min Cash Balance, Cash Conversion, Inventory).

Tax:
•             Working with Corporate/Regional office to ensure tax optimization planning
•             Advise on the implications and issues relating to business taxes e.g. withholding tax etc.

Process improvements
•             continuously review work processes to ensure efficient workflow within the supply chain process
•             Structure team to ensure maximum productivity for delivery of the business requirements

Inventory Control/Management
•             Continuously review work processes and carry out control checks on inventory management and make recommendations for control improvements and execution of approved controls.
•             Ensure inventory records and valuation methods (including obsolescence or depreciation) are in accordance with General Accepted Accounting Standards

Required Work Experience
•             3 to 5 years of relevant working experience, with minimum 1 years in managerial capacity preferably in supply chain or manufacturing environment
•             MNC experience in a fast pace service environment.
•             Managed Finance/Accounting function
•             Direct dealing with Clients, Banks, Auditors, Legal advisors, Suppliers
•             Experience with Manufacturing industry (preferred)
•             Experience working with ERP system and Cognos preferred and possess skills in MS applications

Required Qualifications

•             Qualified Accountant with Accounting degree
