2020-21RS030 - Regional Sales Manager

Our client, a French speaking company based in Dubai, is looking for its new Regional Sales Managers. They are representatives and distributors of exclusive perfume brands in the Gulf region, the Middle East and North Africa.

Day to day business, role covers the following:

•Planning, developing, and directing the marketing efforts of the brands
•Managing the execution of the brand’s plans and their development
•Handling purchases and distribution
•Handling the shop in shops from design to staffing to P&L reports
•Monitoring in-store displays, stock levels, sales targets & competitors’ activities
•Building business proposals to gain exclusive brand licenses for a regional distribution

Sales & Marketing:

1.Set targets for dedicated staff
2.Monitor and react to sales drops and increases by taking immediate actions
3.Create events to generate additional sales throughout the year
4.Implement or suggest marketing plans adapted to each market
5.Get support from the brand in terms of marketing elements and contribution
6.Meet regularly with buyers to implement marketing plan and animate the brands


1.Place forecasts
2.Monitor inventory
3.Place orders
4.Define the right assortment
5.Take necessary action needed to address Out of Stock and Over Stock situations
6.Reach inventory objectives


1.Prepare the P&L Budget for the following year and get it approved by the GM
2.Take necessary actions to reach the budgeted net profit
3.Negotiate with suppliers increased margin and contribution to improve gross margin

Field Responsibilities:

Regularly conduct local and regional field visits in order to:

1.Develop relationship with retail partners
2.Monitor proper implementation of the marketing plan, stock levels, merchandising guidelines and staff performance

Brands Image:

Take all necessary actions to:

1.Keep merchandising elements up to date all the time
2.Ensure that visuals are up to date
3.Product merchandising is done properly

Long term development

1.Manage the brands portfolio through the introduction of new brands and the elimination of non-performing brands
2.Identify new spaces and locations for the brands’ presence
3.Update counter’s design when needed

Research and Business Development:

1.Identify consumers demands and implement initiatives to take advantage of unmet needs
2.Look for potential brands and pitching for them


Bachelor’s Degree in business administration and proven experience in a  Sales or Marketing role.
- At least 5 years experience in the Luxury industry, perfumes or FMCG.
- Billingual French and English, Arabic will be a plus. 
- He/she should be familiar with the concept of profitability, profit and loss statements and be comfortable manipulating numbers through Excel or accounting software.
