2020-21RS55 - Human Resources Business Partner

Our client, a famous European company, is looking for its new HR Business Partner.

In line with the group strategies and local labour law, provides a full range of operational HR support and strategic advice to management in the region on people and organizational related issues, identifies, and develops solutions that help them to achieve their departmental, and the wider business objectives. The HR Manager reports to the General Manager of Middle-East region and works in coordination with the Long-Haul HR managers.

The Regional HR Business Partner is part of the Regional HR Team for the Region Gulf, Saudi Arabia, Iran & Pakistan (07 countries). The HR Business Partner is responsible for multiple countries (Commercial, Cargo and LMI) and regional HR projects and reports to the Regional HR Manager who reports to the General Manager.


1.Provides a full range of operational HR support and strategic advice to management
•  First point of contact for staff representatives, participates in regular staff rep meetings.
• First point of contact for managers for questions related to legal regulations and company policies.
• Advises managers in case of questions related to daily HR operation and organization changes
• Develops, monitors, updates and implements HR Tools, policies and procedures in the Region
• Build strong relationship with staff sponsors and GSAs
• Creates and maintains Job Descriptions up-to-date based on management advise and provides support in the Job Evaluation process
•Prepares all HR communications to ensure clear and effective communication (e.g. newletters about changes, policies, iShare content etc.)
• Is project leader and responsible for implementation of Regional HR (sub) projects (e.g. E HR application, Job-evaluation, EPS survey, ..)

2. Responsible for recruitment, selection, contracting and succession planning
• Creates tailor made selection processes for all roles
• Participates to all selection processes
• Manages all administrative steps of the recruitment, from advertisement till the offer made
• Manages the Social Security and benefits plan enrolment
• Ensuring that new starters undergo a coherent and relevant induction program
• Supports management in succession planning
•Ensure exit interview is done with leavers (lead by HR BP or HR Manager)

3. Appraisal system
• First point of contact for questions regarding the appraisal system
• Coordinates yearly and mid-term performance appraisal planning process
• Continuously monitors the correct and effective use of the appraisal system, advises managers on performance issues and supports them in the creation and follow up of the Performance Improvement Plan

4. Learning & Development
• First point of contact for managers on L&D questions
•Coordinates yearly regional L&D plan: prepares the planning, collects L&D needs, arranges approval, communicates approved trainings, implements and evaluates the L&D plan
• Organize internal & Team trainings/workshop based on business and team needs

5. Remuneration
• Manage the payroll process for a timely and accurate payroll
• Provide monthly and ad’hoc reports to finance
• Provides calculations of merit increase and bonus payments
• Proposes changes in order to ensure competitive compensation and benefit packages
• In close cooperation with controlling updates monthly FTE & budget forecast
• Monitors internal salary grading system, suggests changes if necessary

6.  Employee engagement
Manages recognition and reward programs to enhance performance and motivation

Job-Requirements: knowledge, learned disciplines, experience:
• Degree in Human Resources
• Minimum 5 years HR experience
• Strong knowledge of Gulf Labour law
• Proven experience in Project Management, preferably in a multinational and/or multicultural environment
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Fluent in English, Arabic and French are an advantage
