For all of us at UPS, the safety and well-being of our employees, our customers, and our community is the single most important thing. Now, and always.

We want to assure you, in light of the COVID-19 outbreak, we are working around the clock to ensure we have every possible measure in place to keep prepared and protected.

In line with World Health Organization guidance to minimize the risks for employees and customers, UPS has implemented a raft of measures. These include reinforcing good hygiene practices, ensuring UPS staff are fully aware of what signs and symptoms to look out for, and conducting regular health screenings.

UPS delivery operations have been designated critical infrastructure by governments. Across the world, as well as in the Indian Subcontinent, Middle East, and Africa, we continue safely working during this challenging period, even in restricted areas. UPS is working closely with authorities and monitoring the situation to help customers mitigate any potential supply chain interruptions. Our customers are depending on us now more than ever, and we are committed to serving communities around the globe. We are responsible for keeping this world moving, and we know that many deliveries are critical. We are providing extensive support to major healthcare companies with services ranging from supply chain management to shipping, storage and fulfillment of medical devices, pharmaceuticals and clinical trials specimens.

UPS and The UPS Foundation also provided impacted areas of China with an in-kind flight and 2 million respirator masks as well as protective suits and nitrile gloves for healthcare workers. Additional relief efforts were taken to bring that to over 4 million masks as we continue to track this dynamic situation. Our support has expanded to surpassed $6 million in grants, logistics and transportation, and collaboration with United Nations agencies, humanitarian relief partners and community-based non-profit and international non-government organizations

UPS is a significant part of the fabric of the global economy. We transport more than 3% of global GDP every day and have a strong track record of keeping deliveries moving in a crisis situation thanks to our ability to flex our network to meet changing conditions.

With 112 years of experience and our smart global logistics network, UPS has a strong track record of keeping deliveries moving in a crisis situation and safely meeting our service commitments across the region. We are staying close to our customers to ensure that we can best service their work schedules and production.

Despite the recent border closures in many countries, we are still able to fulfil shipments for our customers, except where we may be unable to deliver due to government restrictions. We have made adjustments to our service schedules in some affected areas. These adjustments vary depending on date and location and may be subject to change at short notice.

As the situation continues to change on a daily basis, please visit www.ups.com for any service updates and to track your shipments.

We extend our wishes to friends and colleagues in all parts of the world who are affected by this virus. We share the concern of the global community and hope the virus can be contained and eradicated as quickly as possible.

We thank you for trusting UPS and we look forward to continuing to serve you.

As always, wherever the journey takes us, we will be stronger together.

Stay safe everyone,

Jean-Francois Condamine
