About "DUO Mentoring"
The DUO Mentoring programme is an initiative of the French chambers of Commerce and Industry (CCIFI), in partnership with the French Foreign Trade Advisors in the UAE (CCEF). It offers Entrepreneurs, start-ups and SMEs members of CCI FRANCE UAE, access to industry experts coming from multinational or SME enterprises to support them and help them in their development.
It is a complimentary programme, supported by Volunteer Mentors, experienced business leaders and senior managers who have volunteered to give their time and advice to SMEs and Entrepreneurs who have expressed a real need for it.
Familiar with their respective areas, this is an 12 month period of mentoring (from january to december 2024), based on an individual and personal Mentor/Mentee relationship with a mutually commitment of at least one two-hour face-to-face meeting per month.
A formal mentoring program is a structured, often one-on-one relationship in a professional, organizational or academic environment. A successful mentoring program requires strategic planning and organization to connect individuals, increase knowledge and develop skills for future goals and missions.
The commitment of the Mentors is made in a personal role (and not in the name of their company) and the success of the programme is based on 5 pillars: Trust, Respect, Confidentiality, Commitment and Communication.
During the period of the programme, both parties will be asked to complete two questionnaires in order to help evaluate and optimize the programme in the form of feedback and analysis.

Applications are open from Friday, November 10 to Sunday, November 26, 2023, 5pm.
Programme framework
- A joint committee will select the applications received for the launch of the mentorship program* and will create mentor/mentee pairs,
- 1 face-to-face meetings per month between Mentor and Mentee,
- A minimum meeting time, allowing an in-depth exchange (2 to 3 hours)
- The commitment to make a regular update for information and follow-up by CCI France UAE and the French Foreign Trade Advisors in the UAE (CCEF) committee accompanied by a final mentoring report (evaluation questionnaire).
- Strict rules of confidentiality, on all strategic aspects shared between Mentee and Mentor.
The CCI France UAE, the French Foreign Trade Advisors in the UAE (CCEF) and the mentors are in no way responsible for this Mentoring Programme and are not liable in any way whatsoever.
*As applications are subject to a selection process in the search for a Mentor, the CCI France UAE cannot guarantee that all Mentees will be matched with Mentors.
