H.E. François GOUYETTEAmbassador of France in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

H.E. François GOUYETTE is the Ambassador of France in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

He held similar position in Tunisia, Libya and UAE in recent years, as well as Diplomatic counsellor to the Minister of Interior. He also held the position of Minister-Counsellor in Ankara. Prior to that he worked at the Central Administration (Press, Information and communication) as Assistant director to the press department.

Earlier he occupied different positions as First Counsellor in Damascus, Second Counsellor in Nicosia, First Secretary in Jeddah and Third and then Second Counsellor in Tripoli Libya. His Excellency is fluent in English, Arabic, Greek and Turk. He brings a background of MA in Public law, a higher Diploma from the "Institut national des langues et civilisations orientales” (arabic) and a translation diploma (French / Arabic).

François GOUYETTE has been awarded by the Medal of “Chevalier de la légion d’honneur”, the Medal of "Officier de l'Ordre National du Mérite", the higher Commander of the « Ouissam Alouite » (Morocco) and a United Arab Emirates distinction.
