French Business Council Business Award 2019 - Opportunity

Expo 2020 Dubai will be held from 20 October 2020 to 10 April 2021 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE) around the theme "Connecting Minds, Creating the Future", with 3 sub-themes Sustainability, Opportunity and Mobility. With the ambition of being a platform for sharing a sustainable vision of global development for present and future generations, the 2020 edition promises to arouse curiosities and surprise minds. Expo 2020 Dubai aspires to create a meaningful legacy that will benefit generations to come, both locally and globally, spanning everything from innovations and architecture to friendships and business opportunities.

France is on the Road to Expo 2020 Dubai, and that’s why the French Business Council Dubai & Northern Emirates will organize in May 2019 the first Opportunity Business Award to highlight the vitality of the FBC members ecosystem and the French innovative and entrepreneurial community of Dubai. Deloitte is the official partner of the award and guarantees its impartiality. 

This Opportunity Business Award is all about concrete actions and innovation that matter: sustainable cities, clean energy, tech for good, impact driven business models…

Assessment criteria will be based on:

• Innovation and disruptive nature,
• Strategy and impact,
• Sustainable business model,
• Team and leadership.

Conditions to apply: 

• Only for FBC Corporate Members
• Valid UAE Trade license
• Less than 50 fulltime employees in the UAE
• Consulting companies, communication agencies… are excluded to participate in the award.

• Tuesday 16th April 2019 : Announcement of the finalists
• Tuesday 23rd April 2019 : Pitch in front of the jury
• Thursday 2nd May 2019 : Award ceremony during the annual Gala dinner of the French Business Council
