4 questions to one of the "Grand Prix VIE 2018" Winner

Antoine de Roquefeuil, Business Development Manager for VRANKEN-POMMERY MONOPOLE and winner of the Grand Prix VIE 2018, answered our questions.

1 / What is your role as a VIE at Vranken Pommery Monopole?

The Vranken-Pommery Monopole Group, the 2nd largest group in Champagne, aims to share French know-how and excellence around the world. With a network of nine international subsidiaries, the Group's Cuvées are now distributed in more than 130 countries. We cover a large part of the globe, but the Middle East was the last area to conquer. Thanks to my V.I.E contract and with the help of my collaborators in France, the group's wines and champagnes are now distributed in the UAE..

Specifically, my V.I.E was initially to find a local partner who shares the values of Vranken-Pommery Monopole. After finding a dynamic, innovative and professional distributor, I started the second part of my mission & nbsp ;: train and support the teams. So I realize trainings for my distributors, but also for the Food & Beverage teams of the hotels where our vintages are proposed.

Finally, I realize, in partnership with my distributors, events highlighting my brands & nbsp; Pommery, Heidsieck Monopole and Chateau La Gordonne. For example, we organize tastings and private sales for both professionals and the general public.

2/ Why did you participate to the Grand prix VIE 2018 ?

Le Grand Prix V.I.E is a great initiative created and organized by Business France. It highlights the dynamism of French companies and the potential of young graduates who leave to face challenges abroad. In French culture, it is not natural to speak of the success and daring of men and French companies. However, the development of French activities abroad contributes positively to the influence of France.

Participate in the V.I.E Grand Prix is to become a player in this communication about French success !!

3/ You are hosted in the FBC Business Center, what did it bring to you ?

By being attached to the FBC, I had access to a V.I.E community working in multiple fields. Sharing and sharing are key to success when working abroad and often having to leave your comfort zone.

In addition, the FBC teams are adorable and very accessible. They often know the solution or key contact when encountering situations of blockages.

Finally, the numerous network events they organize and to which the V.I.E have access are important catalysts for the development of the French business community.

4/ What are your goals and projects in the short and medium term?

I have to continue to develop the visibility of the Vranken-Pommery Monopole brands in the region. We still have several development levers that I'm just starting to activate. Then, I would like to gradually expand my area of activity for a day to be in charge of a portfolio of countries.
